PRODUCT DETAILS

TECH SPECS:

The M1A™ SOCOM 16 7.62 was designed in 2004 to pack .30-caliber horsepower into a package typically reserved for much lesser guns. A tritium-enhanced front sight combined with a ghost ring rear moves the gun fast even in dim light. Featuring a custom-designed 16.25" carbon steel barrel tipped with a small but efficient proprietary muzzle brake, the SOCOM 16 combines toughness with maneuverability.

Black Composite Stock

  • The traditional styling of the composite stock on the M1A™ SOCOM 16 makes it comfortable, while its advanced materials science makes it impervious to weather and rough handling.

Forward Scout-Style Picatinny Rail

  • The forward scout-style Picatinny rail is designed to accommodate CQB optics.

2-Stage NM Tuned Trigger

  • The National Match two-stage trigger on the M1A™ SOCOM 16 would be right at home on the line at Camp Perry.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
